Pitt Meadows Plumbing
Leading the charge of industrialized construction
Two birds, one stone - a company focused on innovation and growing an industry-leading team.
Pitt Meadows Plumbing is a deceptive name. PMP has come along way from fixing leaky sinks. In fact, they are leading the industry of industrialized construction in Canada.
When PMP came to us, in collaboration with Get Clear Consulting, they were looking to create video content to populate their new website build. Unlike most companies we work with, their main goal was not leads, sales, or conversions into customers. Their main focus was attracting the right talent to their company. In our initial discussions, we quickly learned that the business had an influx of work and landing new clients was the last thing they needed. What was valuable however, was the ability to showcase their leading technology, software, and systems in order to draw in the industries best minds and passionate workers.
Though recruitment was the main goal, PMP still needed their website to function as a hub for clients as well. It needed to still be a “two birds, one stone” solution.
From the video side of things, we decided to create two website videos - a “Company Impact Video” showcasing their innovative work, technology, culture and vision for the future, and a “Staff Highlight Video” where we would interview current team members and hear first hand why PMP was the place to be.
Lights, camera, action…
After determining the output we wanted for the project and the budget we had to work with, we coordinated 2 days of production - one at the PMP HQ and the second onsite at one of their builds going up around the Gilmore skytrain station.
Across both locations we captured a variety of interviews. For the “Company Impact Video” we had a more structured story plan in place, since we knew that there was specific messaging and themes we needed to hit in the final edit. The “Staff Highlight Video” however, we left more open ended, allowing space for the team members to speak to pieces they were passionate about and truly believed about the company. This allowed these first hand testimonials to come from an authentic place which was a win, not only for our integrity, but also for the delivery from the participants. We also filmed b-roll shots on these days, not only with the team members we interviewed, but also of the company as a whole and the various departments within.
Take Off Photography was kind enough to assist in capturing drone shots at Gilmore for us, which allowed our team to focus on the narrative content and b-roll on the ground.
Once all the content was captured, our team worked to create both videos. Our approach in post really came down to allowing the authenticity of the interviews come through while adding some industry “swagger” through music selection, sound effects, and editing style. Two combination of the two resulted in both videos having an air of authority and yet approachability.
The moment we’ve all been waiting for...
The end result.
